It's been 20 years since Selena Quintanilla-Perez left this earth. However, this being a forum about vocal ability, let's not focus on that. Instead, I want to ask you guys what you think of her voice? She was completely self-taught, save for some lessons from her father, but he may not have been an expert himself.

I'm sure Ken could have helped her get past these painful notes. One can dream: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJOl6yADEd4

Selena was a wonderful artist and it is a tragedy that her life was cut short. Her voice was compelling, full, and convincing.
Her ability to interpret songs of so many genres in masterful ways is evidence of the versatility of her voice.
She is missed.

I made this thread out of respect, and curiosity because some people described Selena as a soprano. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but her recorded range is just under 3 octaves(someone said somewhere that her voice went as low as a Bb2. I'm not sure which song though. I think it was 'Siempre Hace Frio' but I'm not sure.).
