Foolish Heart

Check this guy out

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXHrLPn83jk

Specifically, how he hits the the first note of the line "foolish heart, hear me calling." It seems to be some sort of heady mix with some air? I hit the same note with mix but it sounds nothing like it.

Anyway, other than that, I don't have any specific questions. I was just impressed with his live consistency, pitch, tone, range, and so on. He seems to have a very bright timbre. I actually pulled up the video because I wanted an idea for a guitar arrangement so I could play and sing it but I stayed for his voice.

    Beautiful tone.

You can hear the resonance of his entire head. There is a consistent flow of air in small and varying amounts through his nasopharynx.  This is a very un-thoaty sound.  Soft onsets.  Easy air flow.
    Well-supported.

    Nice.
