Remembering Lyrics?

Does anyone have any tips for remembering lyrics? I try to memorize them (and I have to admit, I use my IPad) but I would prefer to know them cold. Some songs I have no trouble with, others I struggle with especially if words in the verses are close. I usually copy the words, read through them over and over and then sing them alot. I also download the karaoke versions and sing to those.

    Memory is something I never can seem to remember. There are memory tricks called mnemonics (if I recall correctly...). You might want to look into that. It's a whole topic that you would be better off reading some articles about it, but many people use mnemonics as a way to remind them enough of what the next line starts with. Once they get going, they are fine. Then another mnemonic is used to get them started on the next line.
