hi there i was wondering when to emphasise words in a song? as in add tone where in a song? :)

    That depends entirely on the song and your interpretation of it. You would normally do that for dramatic effect. In order to do that, you also should choose some areas that you will de-emphasize, in order to create more contrast.

    Often, you will choose to emphasize the ending of a song, for a big finish. To give that more depth, you would choose to bring the dynamics down to a minimum some time before.
