Treat You Better (Shawn Mendes) Cover

Hi KTVA,
I did a very short cover of Treat You Better by Shawn Mendes recently. I tried to experiment a bit by adding a little more twang in my voice while at the same time making my tone a lot brighter to fit that mainstream pop sound.
Accordingly, I noticed that now I am able to sing G#4 a lot more regularly than I used to. Now it has actually become a part of my usable range - I just need to control how to sustain the note in other tunes. Do comment on any aspect of the singing or the video if any. Thanks a lot all!
