What I am hearing, once he gets into the driving part of the song, is that he is using too forceful of a sound for safe distortion. He is a really good singer, but his technique in this song, once he starts going into overdrive, is not held back enough to keep his vocal longevity protected.
There is a big difference in being able to sing impressively for a few short years with distortion and being able to maintain vocal quality for a lifetime of singing. If this singer does not get better control of his breath and pressure control, he could lose his range and his ability to sing cleanly when his songs call for an undistorted voice.
Ken teaches you to use a very controlled and "governed" level of voice, once you reach the part of his course where you know enough about his methods to graduate to proper use of distortion techniques. This isn't something you can teach completely without the required background information to base it upon.
