If the forums look like a big jumble, you may have your view settings messed-up.
You can have the forums sorted by Category, and it will appear much more organized to you, help you find things you are looking for, and allow you to dig deeper in each category, if you like.
You can "unclutter" your view, if you go to the upper left-hand corner on the forums front page where the big blue button is that says NEW DISCUSSION; Just below that is "Categories" and below that is "Recent Discussions" .
Click on Categories so that it is highlighted with a blue background. That divides everything up into categories, instead of one giant list. Each category has the 5 most recent posts showing, and if you click on that category, all of the rest of the discussions in that category will show up.
