Not enough volume

Hey guys, I'm a total beginner at singing and I need to understand why when I sing I can't get enough volume to come out. It feels like I'm giving it my all, but it's at a very low volume no matter the pitch I sing in. In turn I feel like this is also affecting my range very much and making me sound high pitched when I do sing, that may not be the case, but I'm just guessing. If anyone has any help or tips or possibly exercises that I can do to help with this I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you!!

We would need to see a video of you or hear a sample of you singing a scale or a short piece of a song to know what you are doing. There are a number of possible reasons why you may not be getting sufficient volume, but it's hard to guess without an example.
