Is it possible to get a deeper tone in my voice, but yet keep my range? I have sort of a airy/high toned voice, but I don't have a high range either, so it's very frustrating for me. Thanks for any help you can give.
Deeper tone can come from a slightly lowered larynx, and from rounding and slightly protruding the lips. That makes a more "covered" or "darker" sound.
We tend to strive to get a brighter sound in most cases. A darker sound can be harder to discern pitch as accurately as a brighter sound.
