breathing out and using your abs

Should the muscles on the front of your stomach, your abs, feel tighter when you breathe out to sing a note?

Ken said in Diaphragm Part 2 that it should "feel kind of like you're going number 2" which made me think maybe the ab muscles should be feeling something? lol
