Recording equipments reccomendation for covering songs on youtube

Any low end but good quality recording equipment and software to recommend for covering songs? I already have a blue snowball microphone , but is it good enough?

I have heard some people like them; others say they are noisy. I think a basic SM57/58 or AT 2020 would be better. A basic computer interface like a Focusrite 2i2 or solo is fairly affordable.
