Dream on

I always find it difficult to shift from the higher octave dream on note to ... the aaahh scream ..
Any advice ... on how to do it without running out of breadth or strainging

You have to train like crazy, in particular on the AH vowel. The Dream On's and the ah goes back and forth on G5/G#5. You had better have a pretty strong head voice and great breath support before trying this. Steven Tyler on the original recording doesn't hold the Ah all that long. Ken Tamplin on his video holds it like crazy for an extended period. That kind of stamina comes from training and training with solid methods.

It's difficult to give you advice without any audio/video. You might be pushing your voice too much, using too much air, or building too much pressure in the throat. Perhaps you need to use your vowel mods better and support harder?

    All the best,
