Vocal Damage

Hello I'm Jason and I'm new to the forum. I posted this in the discussion category before I realized there was an "ask a question" area. I've been doing the singing course for a few months now and I love it! I've made so many gains already and I'm just getting started. I just have one concern. Sometimes when I really workout my chest voice, the next day when I go to do gentle warmups, my head voice will be nonexistent for a good part of the day. I will gently move up the triad scales and when I go to flip into head voice I get no sound at all. I'm not sure if this is because my chest voice is getting the majority of my workouts and its growing or if I am doing something wrong that could be causing damage. Any feed back would be awesome! Thanks in advance!
