Today started like any other day, as I fired up my PC for work I saw the headline that Aretha Franklin has died of Pancreatic Cancer at the tender age of 76. : (
Her voice was so much a part of my life growing up... for once I am at a loss for words...

What an incredible voice she was, crying out in the wilderness. These performances remind me of the beauty of expression through the singing voice. And what a voice dear Aretha was, for such a long, long time. I hear her influence in Eva Cassidy's voice... another voice silenced too soon.

Aretha showed us what singing was all about.
