My name is Bill Peak, I am 65 years old and I am new to the forum. I bought Ken's 2.0 package and have been working with it diligently for about a year now. I really love it. I have been told that my voice is too bright and I need to darken it a bit. I admit that I try to sing brightly because it helps with my pitch issues. I have attached an audio file of a prelude I recently sang at my church. First of all... should I work on darkening my voice, and if so... can you give me some pointers? Thank you.

In my opinion, you don't need to darken your voice, but you need to dwell on the vowels more.
For example, all of your "my's" in this song you do a short Mah. For the personal pronoun "I" sound, you should do "Ah-ee" so Mah-ee Soul, sustaining on the Ah, but before closing out go to ee at the end.
it is better to discuss this in the students' area. We can give you only very limited information in a public category. Come to VOLUME 1: New student demos.
