Home INTRODUCE YOURSELF

Hi I'm new here and may buy the program soon. Does it truly work very well?

Hello everyone! :) I am a 16 year old guy and i love to sing. Ever since my voice change i have had problems with singing. I used to be able to belt up to a D5. now I have trouble with a D4 :( Also I have a severe disconnect in my voice from Chest to head voice with my voice flipping or making a bad crack sound as it transitions. Also I can end up flipping up an octave when going from Chest to head voice or head to chest voice. Will this program make my voice 1 smooth voice? Also will it help me belt at least to a C5? I think im a low baritone, my chest voice is from E2-C4 and sometimes D4, and head voice is to an G5. Anyway thanks ! :D

If you follow kens instruction and put in the time the answer is yes to all of your questions:). His program isn't a magic pill that instantly makes you a rockstar, but it will build a solid foundation for helping you be the singer you want to be.
  • Thanks! :D Can this be applied to any type of song? I'm more interested in belting pop songs. When did you start KTVA?

As a skeptic, and now a true believer, i must say that the program is legitimate.
Only advice i will give is... you get what you put into it.
It's not unlike any other training I have used for learning an instrument. you have to put in the work, and you must try to apply what is being taught.
The reason I went with Ken is because he actually sings the way I would want to. And that is how I chose previous teachers, they knew how to play.

The only choice left is if you can commit.

I did Singing Success for a year and it didnt work. I did KTVA for a month and I got so much more progress than SS can ever give me and I'm not even close to finishing the course! xD
You will be amazed when you start hearing results (:

Because of your age, you may find that it will take you a bit more care to get beyond the flip, as we all go through that when our voices change.  I would advise you to take extra care and pay very close attention to the things Ken says about learning to bridge without the speed bump.  Give it some time, as it takes a while to get a handle on that.

I wish there had been a KTVA when I was your age.  You are very fortunate to be making such a wise choice this early in your singing life.  What you learn in KTVA will build for the rest of your life if you keep applying it.

If you follow what Ken demonstrates exactly you will have no trouble learning to belt pop, rock, or whatever you choose.

    Welcome to KTVA!

  • Thank you everyone for all your help! :) Im trying to decide between KTVA and The Four Pillars by Robert Lunte, are they similar? Whats the difference?

You should hear the difference with your own ears.

Go to YouTube and listen to about 30 song demonstrations by Robert, and also listen to about 30 song demonstrations by Ken.  Not vocal exercises, listen to actual song demonstrations.

Make sure you're not being fooled by reverb, echo, lip-synching, dramatics, or overdubbing.

Decide which vocalist has the versatility you want and the sound you want to be more like.

    Buy that one.

This is not like going to two different stores to buy the same tire at different prices.  This is two completely different methods of singing, with fundamental differences at the core level.

This is what Robert Lunte said about his program in another forum that i googled:

"I do not have Ken's product, but I do know Ken as an acquaintance and have visited with him on the phone a couple times. I have always felt that Ken has high credibility and I believe he discusses twang and pharyngeal singing (kinda means twanging... in the head voice). Ken understands that we have to bridge to the head voice and work with vowels and things like that. Great coach, lots of performance and writing experience.
The Four Pillars of Singing - 2.0 also covers these same things with a different language, but some terms Ken and i will undoubtedly share.  I have become a specialist in developing techniques that make the very advanced and difficult kinds of singing, easier to learn and makes sense.  Some of the success people experience with TVS is from the focus on onsets, sirens, understanding work-flows and most exciting... training big boomy head formants that sound like amazing belts.  "PIllars" vocalises have about 23 original vocal workouts I created that will push you to the edge of challenge and  11 of the workouts in "Pillars" are inherited from Maestro David Kyle, a teacher BOTH me and Ken trained with.  So Ken and I do share a common heritage and legacy with the late Maestro Kyle.  In the 4 Pillars of Singing, we cover topics such as:
    vocal modes
    intrinsic anchoring
Vocal distortion  (A great new set of techniques that will have you making healthy distortion sounds fairly quickly).
    extrinsic anchoring
    bridging the passaggio
    microphone technique
    learning how to twang
    Lowering the larynx
    Vowel modification
    and more..."

I was actually was deciding on which i should buy too, but in the end,I bought KTVA cause my gut said so. c:
This is a moment where i would say, "Why not both?" But money sure holds us back. Ill try out his program someday. :D

I have no idea about Robert Lunte, hope someone with some experience with it could shine some light here.

Eitherway, I have tried SS as well for 6 months, doesn't work. Did KTVA for 2 months and saw immediate progress (considering I was doing the whole first month wrongly).

KTVA will not make you belt a C5 in a week. You wanna belt a C5? Work for it! I did, and now I can ;)

My vocal range went from C3 (or lower) - G4 to C3 (or lower) - Bb5. Including head voice of course. If you're talking about purely chest voice then I can go up to a C5. Usually I start mixing some head voice in automatically at Bb4. Haven't gotten used to mixing voices yet. Still building my head voice ;)

  • Thanks i'll compare both Lunte and Ken! :) I most likely will go with Ken though, i really would like to expand my chest voice since i cant even hit high notes with it right now.  Hey Kokonuht i think i'm like a low baritone or a bass not totally sure how to find out my voice type. So if i am would that mean i can never belt a C5 in chest voice or a mix that still sounds chesty? I'm comfortable with hitting F2 and E2 is if i strain a bit. With head voice I can go up to G5 with A5 with strain and B5 if i really strain.

With my chest voice I can go up to E4 if i strain but i'd love to at least hit an A4 but C5 is what i mostly want

I own both Lunte's program and Ken's.  I have also worked with a Rigg's licensed teacher (2 years) and own a few other lesser known singing programs.  Without making this into a review, I can HIGHLY recommend Ken's program.   I have grown leaps and bounds using his methodology.   Good luck!

Lunte can't sing. The shit he teaches is worthless.
