Glottal comp/cutting back air - same thing?

Hi guys!!

 - I've been exploring cutting back on air - I believe i've been WAY overblowing. I just have a few questions.

1. Is GC the same as cutting back air?

2. I'm using a silent H to gently get the chords moving at onset...Is cutting back the air dangerous at very low volume?

    Glottal Compression includes cutting back the air, but there is more to Glottal Compression than just cutting back the air.

    Cutting back the air is not dangerous at low volume.  Low volume IS cutting back the air.
