Excessive nasal drainage

Hello. I have some issues with my throat. About two years ago I had a deviated septum correction surgery. I was left with a never-ending excessive post-nasal drainage that flows continuously down my throat, making it very vulnerable to infections (I get one at least monthly) and which slightly inflamates my vocal folds. It's really affecting my singing, as I have to take numerous brakes and I've also been told by my coach that it adds an unwanted high frequency to my timbre. I know this is quite a medical question but I'm looking for as many opinions as possible. Can someone please offer some advice?

    Have you been back to the doctor that did the surgery to ask them what the prognosis is for possible improvement on the post-nasal drainage? As long as that continues, you may have issues with your vocal cords and infections.

    I'm sorry you're having these issues. You need some expert care.
