Raspy voice

I got sick about 2 weeks ago, and recovered (At least that's what I think), and I've developed this kind of raspy tone, and can't really sing high notes without going all raspy, or airy. I suddenly go out of pitch, some notes in my mid register sound awful and raspy as well, it has gotten a bit better than before though. I'm just a bit scared it's something bad.

There are a lot of bugs (flu, strep throat, other viruses) that can leave a residual effect on the voice that can sometimes linger for months. Not all of them are like that, but I've had them before that cause exactly what you are describing, and it has taken 3 to 4 months to get back to the point where I didn't feel kind of diminished in my voice. It may be some residual swelling or mucus on the cords. You may want to get scoped, and checked by a throat doctor, but it may very well pass, and may not be one of the longer-lasting viruses.
