Killing Me Softly...Frank Sinatra Demo

Ok Bob....Found this one a challenge and Always wanted to be able to do this....I really focused and concentrated on this one.
I also think that all the practice I did yesterday taking everything on board you mentioned yesterday as well I feel I am going where I want to go. After a lot of thought, I think I am more suited to these kind of tunes rather that 'Heavy Rock' (at this point)...I love Heavy Rock, But at the age of 53, Maybe Im past that now if I want to go somewhere with this...As a matter of fact I am a Great Lover of Songs....Good ones that is.....I even listen to and enjoy ABBA......Great Stuff!....Ha
Cheers Mate. Tom

  • @sealrose you have really good tone ... nice and bright. I don't think you're "past it" at 53 for heavy rock (at least I hope not as it has implications for me at 51 :o ). cheers

  • HaHa Rob.....Thanks Man. Yeah I always change my mind on that....Its just that 'Clean' Living and Heavy Rock dont go too well for me!!.....For example, after the tune you have just listened to I went and did a 'Cult' tune which I may post at some time.
    Go well Boss. Cheers
  • A softer compression mix....hopefully this helps with the Sound Cloud issue..?
  • Sounding smooth. Nice job. Great tone. I kind of like the one without the softer compression mix.
  • Thanks Bob. Working on Stringing those phrases together....'A String of Pearls'....Great way of thinking about it....and its working.
    More to come soon.
    Cheers Bob.

Nice. I recently discovered that trying to copy Sinatra's tone is a very good way of getting into a nice, warm, comfortable spot and works well for rock singing. Another fairly unlikely candidate to copy to get into a healthy spot that works well in hard rock seems to be p mccartney
  • I think youre spot on.
