Home VOCAL DEMONSTRATIONS for the Bold!

Saw FM again last night (Steve Overland) and thought Id write a quick lil FM/Def Lep style track!

Saw FM last night and just felt a bit inspired, this is what came out, bit of a mess about and just having some fun! Just came up with the verse riff on my tele and the rest came from there! All done from scratch in under 3 hours!

Hi Philmaher great sound im liking it, like your tone and your high notes, what i hear you could work on is: when you say close vowel sounds on high notes (like EE or Uh or dark vowels like Oh) and then try to reopen the sound to a bigger vowel like "ah" or "eh" you will always get this kind of raspy sound (usually not on purpose) and lose flexibility on the chord, just like in "BUT there´s a price to pay"
"and TAKE another day" or "GRIPPING.." not sure what else says...

(BTW Ken covers all of this on his singing course)
those three examples have either closed sounds or dark sounds at the beginning
i would basically recomend you to stay as open as you can on those or switch them a little bit like on "TAKE" i would try to not pronounce the "EE" vowel that much on "BUT" I would say something like Bad theres a "PRAES DA PAY"
in order to understand this i would try this Excersise from Ken Tamplin channel

How To Sing Any Song - Voice Lessons - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy

this will also help you to bring more chest in to your sound

    hope this helps
