Has anybody got the chance to see the new movie "Bohemian Rhapsody"?

The reviews seemed to be mixed. It looks pretty interesting from watching the trailer for it.

If anybody here has seen it, tell us if it was good/bad/both

    So I just got back from seeing it. I would rate it as "very good." Not quite "outstanding/excellent", which is what I rate the new 'Star is Born' movie with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. (Just for reference, "outstanding/excellent" is just one notch below "great" on my rating system.) Anyway, I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it did a good job of capturing the conflicted nature of Freddy's personal life being so famous and adored yet feeling so lonely. Truly tragic. I definitely recommend seeing it. I am actually going to go back and look at some of the bad reviews and try to understand exactly what people didn't like about it.

    Thanks for your review, but I have a couple of questions.

    How much time did they spend on the writing/recording process in the movie, and was it mostly about Freddy Mercury than it was about the band?

    They spent a decent amount of time on the writing recording process. The movie was also about the band but I would say much more so about Freddy.

    just watched bohemian rhapsody, I liked, I think it was a cool movie, in the sense of letting us know how it was for the band to deal with certain things etc, I think they probably missed a lot of stuff, but they probably got the point, (im saying "probably" because I dont have enough info of the band to really know how much they missed) I still think "Ray" with Jamie Foxx is s a lot better

    I LOVED it. Coming from a Queen fan, they certainly missed some stuff, but overall it was really good.

    I just saw an interview with Brian May and he talked about how certain things needed to be compressed and changed in order for the story to be told in a movie. It was the essence of the event that had to come across so it was ok with him.

    I thought the movie was great. I think the critics were expecting dirt, didn’t get too much of it, and therefore slammed it.

    Rather than focusing on dirt the movie focused on the songwriting and that’s totally fine by me.
