how do I know if my throat is tense or not

When I'm practicing the vowel modifications, I feel pressure in my throat when I get to the "uh" vowel. Even when I watch Ken do it, he looks like he's struggling to push the note out. How do I know if I'm doing it correctly?

Can you post a sample of your singing (a video sample would be best of possible)

Hi Ken this is me doing the vowel modification exercise

Good Grief how are peoples mouths so big and open compared to mine

Haha. You want it to be nice and open, but not forced too far down. You will notice a tone change and some tension if you go to far. As a guide you should be able to fit two fingers between the upper and lower teeth.

I need to make a video just to show you what I'm doing haha. I think that will be most helpful
