How do I know if Iam using to much air when I sing?

Can someone help me on how to find out if I'am using to much air when I sing, Because my throat is kinda of sore after I sing regular music (BTW I dont sing heavy metal like screaming I sing pop, some christmas and christian music) what do I do to know and how do I maintain small air usage for when I sing? -That K1D 03

If your throat becomes dry when you sing, or sore/irritated. That is a good indicator that too much air is passing over your cords.

@ThatK1D03 as @videoace said if its sore its a good indicator, also make sure you try to match what Ken does with his mouth on this video it will make the process faster

I have a sore throat/cold should I practice or should I do lip drills then practice how do I maintain my lips to vibrate for the lip drills

@thatk1d03 1 moisture your lips with saliva before starting, 2 think of the OOH vowel when doing it 3 Support, meaning watch the video @videoace posted to you, 4 low volume
