Yes, you should feel the fatigue mostly in your body if you are doing it correctly.

As to the strain on your throat is most likely coming from using to much air. To much air across the vocal chords causing them to dry which is likely what you are experiencing. To learn how to minimize this work on your lip burbles and focus on getting the air flow way down when doing it. This will help you learn to manage your breath correctly.

    Hi @andrew_walker,

yes, singing is an extreme sport. During my first weeks I was drowning in sweat.

You need to do your best to relax and keep your breath doing as shown in the video above. The even breath is key to keeping your voice from trembling.

Hello @highmtn what do you mean by even breath??

I mean that the breath is even. Steady. Not wavering at all.

Sir why sometimes i feel like i am straining my chords?? it feels like theres something getting rip off my cords, and it makes me taste some blood, how can i get rid of it??

That should never happen. You might want to go see a doctor about that. You could be singing with far too much force.

Andrew, Your home position is the AH vowel, like Ken teaches in so many of his YouTube Videos. Make the sound like he does.

I think you may have been trying to sing too loudly if you ever feel pain or taste blood. Be careful to stay within safer limitations with your vocal volume.

Andrew, you are very tense when doing this and you also don't have any notes that you are trying to hit. Also I am unable to see you belly to determine if you are at least inhaling correctly.

I would follow this video to build a good work out routine:

mr @HuduVudu do you need to force the ah lah??
  • HuduVuduHuduVudu 2.0 PRO Posts: 1,818
NO!!!! Do not force anything. If you have to sing lighter then that is fine, but do not force anything. Forcing will cause you all kinds of pain and grief in the future.

You do need to articulate notes, this is part of the technique of learning to sing. It takes time and experimentation.

MR @HuduVudu what to do?? i feel like everything will just come out from my throat, i cant control anything, it feels like a long time bad habit, what to do to eliminate the bad habit?

Andrew you need to practice ... A LOT!!!!! Use the video I posted. You can not think your way into better singing. You have to sing and you have to do it wrong and you have to try to understand what you are doing wrong. If you just throw up your hands and give up you will never be better. Use the information on Ken's YouTube channel. Watch the videos and practice EVERY DAY. All of the singers that you think are good I guarantee practice many many hours a day. Get started now with your practice routine, build it and shape it. In time you will start to hear things and understand things in your voice that will lead you to make changes. The new changes will then lead to new understandings etc ...
