New to singing

HI guys I am new to singing. I'm an accomplished musician, play violin, viola and piano but singing is something completely foreign to me. I did a quick song and would appreciate any feedback you can provide.

Thanks,

Bill

An example of me singing with a backing track in more full voice:

    Hello Bill, welcome!

Have you been working on Ken's system at all? You've got great raw material to work with in your voice and could develop beautifully. I'm still a newbie myself and my ear isn't well developed, but it sounds to me like you could work on dropping your larynx and opening your throat more. You're also using a very covered sound, which stylistically makes some sense with these two songs, but deadens your tone somewhat.

I hope you stick with it!

    Thanks, sage,
I had purchased Ken's Volume 1 but you know how it is life gets in our way of pursuing things like learning to sing. I recently went to a jam session at a friend's house and was the one doing the singing and everybody said I should take it up that I have a natural voice. I sent an email to KTVA support about upgrading. I appreciate your feedback and I am excited to see what the course can do for me as I really enjoy it.
