Often times, vocal teacher teach us to lifted soft palate to stop singing nasal and even to reach the high notes. I was wasting my time for 4 years believing this idea. Now i just figured out that let nasal port to open while singing in the mix is important in order to make singing high notes easier and effortless. Just make sure your throat stay open. Cause nasality can come from high larynx.
