How do I improve my falsetto?

Hey guys. I've been practising on Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar sung by Steve Balsamo, but I'm having difficulty reaching the G5 in falsetto. I usually make it to F#5 before it starts cracking, and the few times I reach G5 it sounds way to breathy. How can I improve/extend my falsetto?
