Improv/Scat Singing

Lately I've been messing around with some improv singing and have been trying to get Ken's technique so ingrained I do it on the spot (gotta love a challenge!)
This is a completely improved song I've done just now, half with improved lyrics and half scat (and a few off pitched notes), I pushed myself and didn't even listen to the track before starting. I'll let you decide if that was a good decision or not....
Anyway... I hope you enjoy

That was actually very pleasant to listen to. I prefer your singing to the scat because alot of it was out of time. From your first demo you have improved quite a bit and you control the breathy falsetto well. Hopefully that was a stylistic choice and you are able to sing the same notes as well with good cord closure. Keep practicing the scat, this genre suits you 🙂

Hello @Maia! Very good work, I really enjoy when you play with notes and do the ascending scales. I think (and maybe it's something stylistic) it could be even better if it is mixed with a bigger vocal cord closure. The parts that seems to be intentionally with vocal cord closure, are still a little aerated. I think it would be better if you make more difference between aerated and non-aerated.
Excellent work, and thank you very much for sharing it!
