What exactly is he using ?

Hello, so this video was famous a while ago and it still amazes me. I was wondering if maybe someone could fully vocally analyze what he is using and doing. Like I mean how is it so strong too! One of my favorite videos on YouTube tbh

The room has good acoustics and, he has a strong chest voice. He uses head but it is lighter and less developed. You can hear the transition between head and chest because of the dramatic reduction in volume.

Hmm, yeah that might be the case. Does he ever use mix though?

I can't hear a mixed voice. Only the transition between full and falsetto.

What exactly do you mean by “full”?

Do you mean full chest voice?

He has a natural high timbre. You can hear it in interviews.
I think it's chest voice. It's not as high as you would think the note actually is. But yeah I would say it's chest voice.
And then he flips into a weak airy head voice. Not much mixed voice.

If you want to hear mixed voice, in my opinion it would be best to look at some rock or metal stuff. Lot's of mixed voice going up in that area.

    Hi @Awadi,

yes, I think Ken meant chest voice when using the word "full". Some people are using the term "full voice" when they talk about chest voice.
