Head voice help

So I've been saving up for the course but in the meantime, I watch his video and do vocal practice daily. I was wondering if I could get some help with the head voice. I know he calls (reinforced falsetto and head voice) head voice. so my question is: when I go up from chest voice am good and then I get to a less chesty sounding but not sure if its head voice and then I can go up even further to were the bel canto call head voice because of the resonance. what is that called? and does that mean that I don't have a "real" for lack of a better word head voice? if so how could I start to improve? something I could do daily without straining my voice.
