DICTION/ARTICULATION in the lower register

Sometimes i have trouble with this in my lower register. Any tips or exercises for improving.

    You always want to keep the focus on the beauty of the vowel. Consonants only need to be used enough to really just make out what the words are. You don't want to over-emphasize them as the more hard diction you use, the more you are closing the throat and shifting your vocal tract. Consonants like "ng" especially really close off the throat, so you can actually use "k" to replace "g" and if you hit it soft enough it sort of sounds like "g"
