What is an effective way to remove passive air from my singing voice?

Hi all!

I am being classically trained right now. One problem that I have and my coach hasn't (yet) gave me pointers as to how to resolve is I have some passive air in my voice. So when I'm singing, a part of the air that's coming out of my lungs is just freely escaping from between my vocal chords, drying them and creating an airiness in my sound as well as an inconvenient feeling in my throat.

Any tips on how to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

The key is to focus on a Bright Timbre..
it is something that ken always phrase as "Ping Is King"..
To do this, you need to rise your soft pallete and have that open throat technique..

Go watch the free video on ken's youtube channel and try to imitate his sound..

Or you could go directly to the profile of @Klaus_T ..there several bunch of free video there..

you need to work on better chord closure (as mentioned above), also, on your support, to restrict the airflow

I would ask your coach to help you reduce this air now. If they haven't even mentioned it or want to help you with it after you tell them your experience, question if they are the right coach for you.
