Whistling

Does anyone know some good resources where I can learn how to properly whistle? Lots of songs have whistling in them and I can’t do it. Sitting on the Dock of the Bay for example has some whistling towards the end.

I can whistle somewhat by sucking the air inwards (inhaling) but it sounds weird and uncontrolled. I can’t make any whistling sounds by blowing out.

    I can whistle both ways on the inhale and exhale but I dont have a great deal of range, barely 2 octaves when I check on my pitch monitor. Cant say I know of any resources to help you but if you can get a sound on the inhale, im sure with practice you'll find the sweet spot. Its quite a slow release of air if that helps at all.
