How do singers like Paul Rodgers, Dio etc bring up so much tone to their high notes?

For notes above g4, they seem to bring up alot of tone making their sound very recognisable, not really sure how to explain it, is it distortion that they using to make it seem that way, or some other technique, you know its them almost instantly

    They would be bringing more of their chest voice up there. What I heard in your first recording is that you need to engage more support so you can bring more weight and girth into your sound. Think about whether you can make that tone project further with resonance, would someone across the street hear you clearly when you sing it.

    make sure not to be too loud and oversing though! these singers have sung for years. you need to grow slowly but steady as opposed to go all the way to 100 on the first attempt. it is a long journey and there are no shortcuts. the good news is that you get exactly what you put in, the more you focus on quality training the better you'll get

    @Wigs that makes sense, i notice above ab4, something changes and my voice gets thinner.
