What's that technique

Hi everyone, I was watching this video on Instagram and noticed when she sang the lyric our love theres an interesting tension release sound for lack of better words to describe it. This is a technique I used to hear alot in 90s songs sung by female artists but I'm not to sure what it's called. It's also probably the only part of the video where I like her singing.

That is a yodel or vocal break. Its a technique used by alot of country singers, you slip in and out of chest and head and instead of making the transition smooth, you purposely allow the voice to crack. You should train to keep this area smooth and only use it for an effect when you sing.
