How good is this singing?

Special focus on mark 0:00 to 0:05 (mostly 0:00 to 0:01). I want to know how good of a singer somebody has to be to have such magnificent control on musical notes. Please share your opinions.

    This similar in melodic complexity to many melismatic runs and riffs. You have to have a lot of control over your voice to do that.

    @highmtn How much is "a lot" of control? For instance, do you think today's best singers are able to achieve that feat?

    It's a lot. Only very accomplished vocalists train sufficiently and hone their skills to that degree of accuracy and agility.
