Kelly Jones from Stereophonics technique to sing quite soft ?

Hi !
I've listened this morning to a version of "Don't Let Me Down" sung by Kelly Jones and what surprised me is his abbility to sing the "Don't Let Me Down" thing with little volume.

How can you sing with such control, low volume, what can i learn from him ?

Thank you by advance ! ;)

  • I think you would be surprised at the actual volume singers use when they sing.

He's just adding textures to his voice to make it sound gritty.

    Peace

He's just holding back. Instead of blasting the G#4's he's just singing them with a little more ease. Very open. What you should learn from him is Relaxation. You don't have to strain to sing G#4. You can, but you don't have to.

And he is doing that greatly, isn't he?
